Partnerships

We work with a small number of partners whose products genuinely help our readers build wealth in the UK. If that is you, we would like to hear from you. If it is not, please save us both the email.

Our editorial position

Freedom Isn't Free is a UK personal finance and FIRE site with a strong editorial voice. Readers come here for direct, opinionated, evidence-based writing on investing, tax, pensions, and the long path to financial independence. They do not come here for sponsored fluff, and we do not write any.

What this means for partners:

  • We only work with products we would genuinely recommend. If we cannot stand behind it for our readers, the answer is no, regardless of fee.
  • We will not promote unregulated investment products. Anything regulated by the FCA must hold the relevant authorisation. Risk warnings are non-negotiable.
  • Sponsored content is always disclosed at the top of the article and again next to any link. We do not run paid placements inside our independent reviews.
  • Editorial control stays with us. You can suggest angles. We write the piece, and we keep the right to call out trade-offs and flaws.
  • Affiliate relationships do not influence our rankings. Our "best of" articles are decided on cost, features, and FSCS protection - not commission rate.

Who reads this site

UK adults who are serious about money. Ages skew 25-55. The audience overlaps heavily with:

  • FIRE / financial independence (UK flavour)
  • DIY index investing (Vanguard, HSBC, Amundi, Trading 212, ii)
  • ISA / SIPP / LISA tax-wrapper optimisation
  • Mortgage and property decisions for UK buyers
  • Pension decumulation, drawdown, and retirement planning

Up-to-date traffic figures, top-performing pages, and newsletter list size are shared on request after a brief intro email.

What we offer

Sponsored long-form articles

A 1,500-2,500 word piece written in our voice on a topic relevant to your product. Disclosed at the top, evergreen, and indexed in our internal search and curriculum.

Newsletter slot

A short, plainly-marked sponsor block in our weekly newsletter. One sponsor per issue, maximum.

Affiliate partnerships

Long-term commission relationships for products that genuinely fit our editorial. We are happy to talk about custom commission structures and exclusive landing pages, but the product still has to clear the editorial bar before it goes anywhere.

Calculator / tool sponsorship

A small number of our calculators have a dedicated CTA slot for a relevant partner. Examples: a brokerage on the FI number calculator, a savings provider on the compound interest calculator. Limited inventory.

Comparison-table partnerships

Standalone "best ISA", "best SIPP", and similar provider comparisons where each listing has a tracked clickout. Highest commercial intent inventory we run, because the reader is explicitly comparing. Inclusion is editorial - not every provider that wants to appear will.

Category right-rail card

A persistent partner card in the article right rail across one content category - all investing articles, all pensions articles, all mortgage articles, etc. Lets a partner buy a topic rather than a single piece.

What we will not do

  • Sell links inside our existing independent articles or reviews.
  • Promote CFDs, signal services, paid stock-picking subscriptions, or anything that promises returns above what a global tracker delivers.
  • Run guest posts whose only purpose is a backlink.
  • Write anything that is not genuinely useful to a UK reader.
  • Recommend a product we have not actually tested or that we would not put our own money into.

Get in touch

The fastest way in is a short email with: who you are, the product, why you think our readers would actually benefit from it, and what kind of partnership you have in mind. We reply to anything that passes the editorial bar within a week. We do not always reply to bulk outreach.
